now hiring 2018 farm crew

Owl’s Nest Farm grows Certified Naturally Grown produce for CSA members, farmers market customers, restaurants, and friends on four acres just 15 miles from Washington, DC. 2017 was our second growing season, and we’re looking for a creative, hardworking, reliable full-time Field Worker for the 2018 season, from early April to mid-November.

A field position at Owl’s Nest Farm involves hard work with your body; it’s demanding and exhausting and often wonderful. You’ll work 40-55 hours per week, including Saturdays, in all weather conditions, and you’ll work alongside the farmer/owner in all aspects of running a small-scale, diversified vegetable and herb farm. We think you’ll learn a lot, but this is a paid job, not an internship or apprenticeship.
