Joining the CSA has been such a meaningful commitment for our family. It’s not just about the vegetables—it’s about being part of a community. We love knowing the people who grow our food and seeing the care they pour into every harvest. It feels good to invest in something that values relationships over transactions, where trust and connection come first. It’s a choice that makes our food dollars count for more—supporting something just, meaningful, and lasting, instead of adding to the wealth of a billionaire.

For our family, having the CSA takes a lot of guess work out of dinner. We always know we will have a delicious veggie to add to a main dish or as a side. One of our favorite things to do is make “rubbed kale salad” - so quick and easy and keeps in the fridge all week!

For our kids, the CSA has been transformative. They’ve learned that food doesn’t magically appear on grocery store shelves—it begins on a farm, in the soil, nurtured with hard work and dedication. Picking up our share each week has become something they look forward to. They ask questions (sometimes about the vegetables, and rarely one at a time), meet the farmers, and enjoy tasting the freshness of just-picked tomatoes or cucumbers. A bag of carrots rarely survives the drive home. This connection to the land and the people behind their meals is something we hope will stay with them forever.
